Commentary: John 14: 1-6

Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

Lord, you remind me that ultimately, I am not made for this world. Help me to not worry about earthly standards of success, either for myself or my children. Accomplishments academically, athletically, socially or in any other way ultimately only really matters in so far as they indicate growth in certain virtues. I have been entrusted with my children to get them to heaven, not Harvard.
