Commentary: Mark 4: 26-34
Jesus said to the crowds: “This is how it is with the Kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land and would sleep and rise night and day and the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how. Of its own accord, the land yields fruit, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.”
Jesus, help me abandon my children to your grace and Providence. My job is to plant the seeds of faith in them through our family life, example, and conversation, but really I have no idea how it will take root and when your grace will inspire them to mature and take ownership of their relationship with you. Give me the peace of a farmer to accept the time it takes for the process.
