Commentary: Matthew 6:19-23
“For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be.”
Jesus, you made so much good in the world-the natural beauty, music, art and most importantly other people. Help me to treasure my husband and children. I know if I treasure and love them the way you want me to, my body and soul will be filled with light.
Resolution: Thank our Lord for the people in your life that you treasure.
Use an over the door shoe bag organizer in a discreet place on your main level to sort all of those hard to store items with ease. I assign the lower pockets for baby shoes and then have others labeled for hair clips, pencils, etc… Also, as kids get older, you can assign a pocket to each child for quick stashing of mail or other items that they need to claim.
My children boys and girls love Tom Longano’s Blue and Red Books of stories. He also has a podcast that I am looking forward to using on some of our road trips this summer. He reads chapters aloud and “interviews” characters with humor that will keep everyone in the car (driver included) in good spirits.
