Commentary: Matthew 8:1-4

And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” He stretched out his hand, touched him and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” His leprosy was cleansed immediately.

Jesus, sometimes it’s easy to forget how much courage it took for that leper to ask for healing in the way that he did. He asked for your will to be done. Sometimes I think I am afraid to ask you for what I want because I am not convinced that it is what you want. Help me to trust that I can ask you for anything, knowing that if it is not your will, it is because you have something even better in mind for me.

Resolution: Boldly ask Our Lord for His will to be done regarding a specific problem you are facing.
