Commentary John 15:9-17

This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this , to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Jesus, you laid down your life for me and called me a friend despite all I have done and continue to do to hurt you through my self interest and pride. Help me to love my children especially when they disappoint me and fail to live up to my expectations. Help me to correct with love and not anger or impatience. Help me die to my own standards and seek only a growth in character for my children.

Resolution: Wait to correct your child until you’ve said a Hail Mary for them and the frustration has died down.
