Commentary: John 15: 12-17

Jesus said to his disciples: “This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Jesus, you laid down your life for me. You are the perfect teacher of love. Help me to give myself more generously to my husband, to my children and everyone I meet. Only when I give myself entirely, holding nothing back, can I really be recognized as another Christ, a Christian.

Resolution: Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one way you can be more generous today.
