Commentary: Luke 16:1-8
And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently. For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than the children of the light.
Jesus, this gospel is sometimes hard for me to understand but I have to remember that the steward was not being commended for his dishonesty but his prudence. Help me remember that it is not enough just to know and love your Truth, but that we have to use human tact and finesse to spread your Truth in a way that it will be received well.
