Commentary: Luke 6:39-42
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
Jesus, you know me so well and see how hypocritcal I can be. How often do I correct my children for things that I myself am not doing well? Help me to teach by example, first in patience and charity but also in how I use my time, how I live order, and always in how I go to you for everything!

It’s hard to find a movie that both my husband and I find to be worth our time but we both recently enjoyed The Courier with Benedict Cumberbatch. While an intense spy drama, it had a great message of loyalty, friendship and forgiveness. (This recommendation is for adults. I am planning to offer my older teens to watch a slightly edited version)
