Commentary: Luke 5:17-26
But not finding a way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on the stretcher through the tiles into the middle in front of Jesus. When he saw their faith, he said, “As for you, your sins are forgiven.”
Jesus, what lengths am I willing to go to in order to bring my family and friends closer to you? This advent am I making a point to bring my children to confession as a way of preparing them for your coming at Christmas? Help me Lord be more concerned about the good of my friends’ souls than about what they may think of me if I invite them to come to the sacraments or other ways of preparing for Christmas.
