Commentary: Mark 10:17-27

They were exceedingly astonished and said among themselves, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.”

Jesus, you remind me that in the economy of salvation, independence is not the virtue that society claims it to be. I want to teach my children to rely on you for everything, especially their spiritual growth. I know that this starts with my example. Help me go to you for my big and little needs and projects throughout the day.

Resolution: Pray, “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
