Commentary: Mark 7: 24-30

She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”

Jesus, you were moved to take pity on this woman because of her humility and perseverance. What a combination! Help me learn to be such an advocate for my children before you also. Never let it be because of my lack of virtue that my children fail to receive the help that they need from you.
