Commentary: John 15: 9-11

Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”

Jesus, the secret to joy in this life is so simple but I always find ways to get distracted by things that don’t really matter in the end. When I find myself worried about appearances or how things will work out in the future, tap me on the shoulder and remind me of the bigger picture. Help me teach my children that my peace and joy come from knowing that I am following You.

Resolution: Pray an Our Father for one thing that causes you worry today.
