Commentary: Luke 6:27-38

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Jesus, why is it that something that is so simple and obvious is so hard for me to actually do? Help me to put my own priorities behind me and give to children the attention that I would want and need as a child. Help me put down my phone, close the browser and read to my littles, talk to my teens, recognizing that my time with them in these stages is so short.

Thankful Thursdays

I know I don’t take the time to think about what I am grateful for enough. Each week, let’s take a moment to count our blessings and hopefully, turn it into a more frequent and spontaneous attitude in our lives!

I am grateful for my parents, who have such an example to me of selfless love.
