Commentary: John 6:30-35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”
Lord, as a mother, I hear the words, “I’m hungry” and “I’m thirsty” many times a day. Children are really good at advocating for their perceived needs, valid or not. Help me to recognize my need for you. Help me to learn from my children in shamelessly seeking you many times a day. How sad would it be if at the end of my life, I got to the wedding banquet and everyone there had a beautiful feast but me, and when I asked why I didn’t have any, Jesus told me, “You didn’t ask for it!”
Resolution: Tell Jesus: “I need you like I need my coffee!”
