Commentary: Mark 8:14-21

“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many full baskets of fragments did you pick up?” They answered him, “Seven.” He said to them, “Do you still not understand.”

Jesus, every time I let stress and anxiety creep into my life, this reprimand could easily be for me. How many times have I seen how you have taken care of me with total extravagance. You handle my problems so that they work out better than I could ever imagine them and I still have the nerve to worry! Lord, help me remember to surrender everything to your care, especially the paths my children take to discover their vocations.
