Commentary: Mark 12: 13-17

They came and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are a truthful man and that you are not concerned with anyone’s opinion. You do not regard a person’s status but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar or not?”

Jesus, these men tried to use your perfection against you. They didn’t realize that truth doesn’t change when it’s convenient or fashionable to believe something else. Help me to teach my children, through my example, to live a unity of life that is consistent at home, at school, at work, no matter where I go.

Resolution: Start your day by living order where no one else sees, make your bed.
