Commentary: Matthew 7:6, 12-14
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.”
Jesus, it is hard for me to go against the grain. How much harder is it for my children? Help me to teach them with my example that even though we do a lot that is very different from the rest of the world, we still love and appreciate the good that is in every person, that my way of loving them is to be a witness to truth through my example. Jesus, let my joy in reflecting you, be the source of courage for my children as they navigate the same challenge.
