Commentary: Mark 10: 28-31

Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has ever given up house or brother or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come.

Jesus, I know that you are never outdone in generosity. Help me remember this whenever I am tempted to hold back from giving myself completely to you. Whether I am discerning your will in having more children, giving my time in serving an apostolic endeavor, or simply seeing the needs of my friends and family, help me imitate the total self-gift you demonstrated on the cross.

Just a heads up that starting tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, I will be doing something a little different on MOMentum. Last year for Lent, I spent a lot of time praying and writing a Way of the Cross for Mothers. I will post it little by little, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until I run out of stations, but it should almost get us to Holy Week. Tomorrow will just be a little introduction and then the first station will start on Friday.
