Commentary: John 6: 35-40
“Everything the the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.”
What does real trust in Jesus look like? As mothers we can have a lot of ideas about what our family should look like, what the abilities of our children should look like, what my relationship with my husband should look like. We can become attached to an image of success that may not be as important as we think it is. If we really believe that God is all powerful and that he wants what is best for us, there is no room for anxiety. Ultimately, the only success that matters is that we are seeking what God wants us to do in serving Him in this life so we can be with Him in heaven.
Resolution: Today I will offer the discrepancy between what I want my life to be like and what it is like, to you Lord. Help me to trust you as the designer of my life and family.
