Commentary: Matthew 15:29-37
Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied. They picked up the fragments left over-seven baskets full.
Jesus, your heart was moved with pity for the crowds and you responded with extravagance. When a drop of your blood would have satisfied our debt, you gave your whole life. Teach me to love like that. Help me to give myself in whatever way I hear you asking, knowing that you are never outdone in generosity.
